Award-winning author and activist Lisa Shannon has spent nearly a decade mobilizing grassroots women to address extreme threats to women’s security, aiding and empowering more than 100,000 women and children in Africa. Through launching several mass movements, her study as a fellow with Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership, and extensive interviews with grassroots women leaders around the world, Lisa has emerged an inspiring voice in the international women’s movement and expert on women’s leadership. Her work is firmly grounded in the belief that each of us hold an innate power to lead, in our own communities and organizations- and on the global stage.
